Whether you’re snapping or not, we love the way these places use flowers to make London an even lovelier place to be
1. TONIGHT JOSEPHINE - Waterloo
Nothing says Instagramable like the hot pink interior of Waterloo’s Tonight Josephine. This snazzy cocktail bar regularly makes everyone’s list of insta-worthy hangouts. We love it, not only for the excellent Long Island Iced Teas and sassy neon lights, but for the so-called “Lady Garden”, with roses dangling from the ceiling: a modern twist on using an iconic flower. The perfect place for a snap with your girls, and close to Waterloo, Waterloo East and Southwark stations, it’s a perfect floral first stop.
2. COLUMBIA ROAD FLOWER MARKET - Shoreditch
If you’re looking for the perfect Sunday Morning stroll, look no further than Columbia Road Flower Market. Only held on Sunday mornings, this market just off Shoreditch High Street is a fail safe for those seeking floral inspiration. Hundreds of flower sellers flock to this part of London to sell seasonal blooms and firm floral favourites, ranging from simple bouquets to tropical houseplants. It’s the perfect stop for any flower lover looking for inspiration.
- THE CHURCHILL ARMS - Notting Hill Gate
You have almost certainly seen this iconic pub, if not in real life then definitely on Pinterest. The Churchill Arms is notorious for its copious flower baskets that line the wall that in Spring and Summer bloom into a kaleidoscope of colour. In between the picturesque neighbourhoods of Kensington and Notting Hill, it’s a perfect pitstop for your day of sightseeing. Once you’ve snapped all the beautiful flowers, head inside for a pint in one of the UK’s prettiest pubs.
- DALLOWAY TERRACE - Fitzrovia
If you’ve never heard of Dalloway Terrace, meet your new favourite brunch spot. This restaurant just next to Tottenham Court Road station is dominated by this flower wall that they rotate seasonally. Perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea, we adore this place’s use of a giant flower wall for decoration. Treat yourself to a mimosa and sit and soak up this gorgeous floral interior of this classy bistro.
5. AUBAINE AT SELFRIDGES - Oxford Street
Dreamy wisteria drips from the ceiling in another of London’s beautiful restaurants. Located on the second floor of Selfridges on Oxford Street, this bistro is another perfect spot for great food and great interiors. It’s the ideal place for a fancy dinner and any occasion you really want to make special. Both the food and the wisteria are a treat for your instagram account.
6. SYON HOUSE - Brentford
Syon House opens in March, meaning the beautiful parkland and gardens are open for long afternoons of strolling. There’s also the Great Conservatory filled with tropical plants from across the world and the wildflower meadows which are perfect for picnics. Of course, the house is stunning too. Syon House opened on March 11th after being closed for the winter, so head on down now the weather is getting nicer for one of London’s most beautiful country homes.
7. PEGGY PORCHEN - Belgravia
This adorable bakery in Belgravia is another classic Instagram Haven. With its baby pink facade and regular floral installation, it’s become a classic place for picture perfect tea time treats. Either stroll in the Belgravia neighbourhood and soak up this classy part of town, or take a seat and enjoy some of London’s best cupcakes.
8. SKY GARDEN - The City of London
In the middle of London’s Financial district, this free garden is at the top of one of London’s one of most iconic buildings. At the top of the Walkie Talkie, there’s a palm garden that also offers beautiful views of London, with a selection of bars and restaurants so you can really soak up the atmosphere. You have to book in advance due to the limited space, but the views and the collection of tropical trees are worth the extra effort.
If you're more of an East End girl, in Hackney there’s The Palm Vaults. This cafe is decked out in millennial pink furnishing and hanging houseplants from the ceiling. Small but perfectly formed, it’s a perfect place for a lazy brunch or a quick pick me up. If the decor isn’t enough #plantsonpink inspiration; their rose lattes are the perfect Instagramable drink, complete with petals.
